Scott Beckett

Scott Beckett is an insurance marketing specialist with over 32 years of experience in many unique and varied aspects of the insurance industry.
Scott holds an MBA (1997) from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (1984) in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Scott is a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU). Committee work includes the CALU Long Term Care Insurance and Living Benefits Working Groups and as a past member of the CALU Task Force on Female Membership Growth. Scott is a member of Advocis and a past member of the Advocis CLU Education Committee. Scott sits on the board of the Ireland Park Foundation and is Chair of the Communications Committee. Since 2012 Scott has Co-Chaired the Abilities & Beyond Dinner for March of Dimes Canada raising over $850,000 to fund program work. In 2016 Scott became sole Chair of this event. Scott is a founding board member of Beautiful World Canada, a charity funding, and supporting education of young women in Africa. He is a frequent author on Benefits, Executive Benefits and Executive Compensation and a frequent guest speaker at industry schools and continuing education events.

Scott is a founding partner in Kearns Edgewater Financial Services Inc. (KEFSI) a “bespoke” insurance marketing firm in downtown Toronto specializing in employee and executive benefits and sophisticated planning for successful Canadians. The firm operates across Canada. Scott is licenced in all 10 Canadian provinces.

From 2008 – 2014 Scott was President of Edgewater Financial Group Inc., now part of KEFSI. In 2017 KEFSI purchased Duggan Benefits, an established firm providing benefit consulting services for over 35 years. KEFSI now serves over 150 employee benefit clients across Canada. Scott is a Director of One Posting Canada; founded in Dublin, One Posting is an innovative cloud based invoicing company. In 2017, Scott and his partners founded BeniPlus Inc. - a low cost, simple, web-based benefits delivery service for new, small businesses. Until 2008, Scott was Vice President of Living Benefits at a major national insurance wholesaling organization. Prior to that Scott held a variety of senior positions in insurance marketing, product development and sales.
